Angela West & Showdown can trace its routes back more
than 20 years, to a time when the legenady country bars had
names like: the White Buffalo in Methuen MA, the Rockin' Horse
in Taunton MA and The Lyons Den in Warwick RI and the great
bands played practically every night. Angela West & Showdown
was one of those legendary bands and they still are. They've
always played a great mix of the current hits and carefully
chosen classics and they still do. You could always see them
year after year at huge events like: The Hillsboro Balloon Festival &
The Hampton Beach Summer Concert Series and you still can.
When you want a great award winning band to play for your
next event, you should choose Angela West & Showdown.
In the more than 20 years since the band started playing,
lots of things have changed: The White Buffalo, the Lyons
Den and The Rockin' Horse are gone, as are most of the
Drive-In Movie Theaters, cheap gas and music on AM radio.
But atleast one thing remains the same.Angela West &
Showdown is still here, because you want them to be.

It's easier to understand Angela West's popularity when you realize how many awards she's won because of the support she's received from fellow musicians and her fans.These are the people who determine the winners through their votes and as a general rule to win an award a participant would need a lot of votes, because there are usually several candidates in each category. In September of 2011 Angela won the most prestigious prize - when she was inducted into the Massachusetts Country Music Hall of Fame. A rear and difficult honor to achieve because only current HOF members can vote for potential candidates. She also won for Rhythm Guitarist of the Year. and for the 6th time, Female Vocalist of the Year, She won three years in a row for both Female Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year between 2005-2007. She has been playing professionally since 1977 and plays many other instruments. She has 9 years of classical and 2 years of pop and jazz training on the piano. On violin...4 years, 2 years on accordion. She also plays bass guitar. At one time she played 2nd violin in the All-State Junior Orchestra. She was a gospel artist for 4 years in New York and did many local television broadcasts, prior to her days in country music. Along with her band, Angela has opened up for names like Porter Wagoner, Grandpa Jones, Hank Williams Sr.'s Band, Faron Young, The Forrester Sisters, The Statler Brothers, Joe Diffie, Sammy Kershaw, Josh Gracin, Wade Hayes, and many others. Angela is the Lead Vocalist in the band, and of course, doubles on harmony when the guys are singing and is an excellent Rhythm guitarist. As the band leader, She keeps the music HOT, the people dancing and the club owners happy

John Kloczkowski

John Kloczkowski, aka OOby, grew up in North Uxbridge Ma. He started playing professionally in 1969 working the local club circuit in the Boston, Worcester, Providence areas and then hit the road in the mid 70's. He also did the showband circuit on the East Coast, Midwest, and Southeast Canada. OOby has played all types of music from Jazz to Heavy Metal and everything in between. As a nationally known artist he has performed with... Ruth Pointer (Pointer Sisters), Commander Cody (Lost Planet Airmen), Buck Trent (Hee Haw), Buddy Cage (New Riders), and Lester Chambers (Chambers Bros.)
